Frequently Asked Questions

How do you select your caregivers?
All of our caregivers have successfully completed a through reference and criminal background check. Each caregiver is also bonded and insured.

How do you train your employees?
Every Comfort Care caregiver participates in an exclusive training program, which covers the most practical topics and situations encountered in care giving.

They participate in monthly in-service training sessions on topics such as Alzheimers care, communication skills, CPR training, taking vital signs, etc. Our caregivers are always building upon their knowledge and skills.

What makes Comfort Care different from other companies?
We work hard to ensure that each client has a compatible relationship with their caregiver. You can be confident that we will be there when we are scheduled to be there.

You are encouraged to meet your primary caregiver before the commencement of services. We do this for many reasons, most importantly to discuss the care plan and make sure you feel comfortable with the Caregiver you will be working with.

You may choose a male or female caregiver. A male caregiver is often chosen for individuals who need a strong person for lifting, or male companionship.

Our services can be arranged for short term care, a few hours a week, or long term respite relief is available up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays.

Comfort Care provides helpful and necessary services that reduce the difficult, time consuming, and often stressful aspects of personal home care. We are there to assist you.

Will I receive information about the home visits?
Comfort Care will gladly e-mail you a weekly report to keep you acquainted with the care process. Of course, you may also call the office for updates.

After bi-weekly visits, we will be sure to inform you if any changes have occurred and if the care plan needs alteration.

What are your rates and minimum hours of service?
Please contact our office for an assessment and rates. Comfort Care is a 24 hour service, we provide services at the minimum of four hours a week.

What types of payments do you accept?
We accept Auto Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance, Private Pay, Workers Compensation Insurance, and more.

We don't need a home care Caregiver every day of the week, but we want to know that my Mom is safe. How can you help?
Care Givers can make phone calls to your loved ones home on any days that our Care Givers are not in their home. Care calls can be made as frequently as you prefer, and provide family members peace of mind.
